Why this exists
The fitness-racing gear market has many good shoes and a lot of marketing. Most recommendation content is either generic or driven by affiliate relationships. We wanted a tool that ranks shoes against the specific constraints of a real athlete — goal, fit, budget, intended usage — and shows its work.
How the engine works
Every Fit Score is produced by a deterministic algorithm in src/lib/recommendation/. The engine version is locked, the weights are documented, and the result is reproducible from the same data + the same constraints. Two visitors with identical inputs see identical rankings.
